I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
